Atos Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Nederland Welcomes New Affiliates in Southeast Texas

Atos Jiu-Jitsu Nederland would like to welcome it’s newest Affiliates. Today, Marshall and Lane Mooney of Mooney Boys Jiu-jitsu in Vidor Texas as well as David Howells and Cody Williams of Tiger Rock Martial Arts in Beaumont Texas came on board under mine and Professor Andre Galvao's tutelage. With these additions to the Team, Southeast Texas is breaking down political lines and organizing our curriculum under the Atos Brand. I’m here at the San Diego Headquarters in my final day of training for what’s been a magical experience. I can’t wait to get back to Texas to represent and share what I’ve learned from this amazing organization. I’m confident that these academies are a perfect fit for the Atos Brand and will benefit greatly from this Affiliation.

Marshall and Lane Mooney have been students of mine off and on for a decade now. They’ve made great strides to bring quality training to the community in Orange County. Their Kid’s Program is developing quickly and has already began to show promise on the Texas Tournament circuit. I expect big things from these guys! Lane and Marshall have always been behind me through thick and thin and personify what a martial artist should be.

David Howells and Cody Williams are new students of mine who run a program in Beaumont Texas. These guys were generous enough with their time to train with me and welcome me into David’s school for daytime training in preparation for the IBJJF Dallas Open. While Cody has made his mark in MMA he is looking to further expand his knowledge in jiu-jitsu where I see him on future IBJJF podiums for years to come. David’s story is a special one to me. In search of Jiu-jitsu training he was driving 2 hours (one way) for a 90 minute jiu-jitsu class every Friday. You can’t teach that type of determination. There is no doubt in my mind that with hard work I’ll proudly tie the black belt around his waist one day.

For you and all of your students: Welcome To Atos Jiu-Jitsu! Having a family and a place in the jiu-jitsu world is a very special thing. Train hard, improve every day, but most of all, enjoy the journey.
